Welcome Bloggers

Welcome Sacramento Bloggers!

Jennifer Bourn here! I’m lead organizer for WordCamp Sacramento 2017, founder/partner of Bourn Creative, and blogger at Inspired Imperfection. I can’t tell you how excited I am that you’re here, because I’ve got something totally awesome cooked up for this year’s event and I’m really hoping you’ll be a part of it!

WordCamp attendees are made up freelancers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, consultants, designers, developers, full-time bloggers, side-hustle bloggers, copywriters, and hobby bloggers, as well as employees and team members from large organizations and corporations who work with WordPress. Skill level and experience with the WordPress platform range from those brand new to WordPress working on their very first website or blog to savvy-professionals who make their living with WordPress.

This year, for the first time, I want to offer a Moderated Expert Blogging Panel Discussion specifically for the bloggers in the audience. Not a boring panel discussion with all audience-asked questions, but a powerful, value-packed panel designed to provide insights, inspiration, and information — and to make you look amazing too!

About The Blogging Panel

The moderated blogging panel will feature bloggers who are local to the greater Sacramento region and use WordPress to power their blog. We’re looking for bloggers who are willing to share their experience and expertise around blogging lessons learned, finding your voice, tools and plugins used, strategies to monetize a blog or website, growing a community or tribe, and more.

Panelists will receive a core set of questions up front so they can prepare succinct, informative, valuable answers so you can look like a rockstar! We’ll also use a few questions submitted in advance by attendees, and wrap up with a few questions from the audience.

We’re specifically looking for a variety of bloggers, not just in blog niche or focus, but in style of blogging, types of audiences, wins, and how they have monetized their efforts. We’re also not just looking for all full-time professional bloggers, so don’t let that stop you from applying! You don’t have to be internet famous, a bloggers with years of experience, or even one with a HUGE following. WordCamp is about the WordPress community at every level, and believes every member of our community has something valuable to share.

We hope you apply.
